Roman Catholicism in Bahrain

The Roman Catholic Church in Bahrain is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and curia in Rome.

Most Bahraini Christians are Roman Catholics and the Catholic community is almost entirely expatriates from India, Lebanon, the Philippines and Europe. There is a large Catholic church, the Sacred Heart, which dominates one of Manama's main thoroughfares.

There are no dioceses in the country, but it comes under the jurisdiction of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia. In 1999, Bahrain established diplomatic relations with the Holy See.
